We on a Belgian haflinger, they were sold by Hocke in Grootbijgaarden. This was the main import company here for steyr-puch and sold around 37 haflinger here in Belgium between 1966 and 1974. The haflinger we have is a late model II 1974.
11 of the 37 That were sold went to Belgian Congo and where all beige.

I Remember we used Haflingers in the newly formed independent Congo with the 5th and 6th commando mercenary forces who operated there back in the 1960s. It is most likely they came from Belgium, most were basic vehicles in a white paint finish. They were incredibly useful vehicles, though they were not particularly robust for military use on the virtually impassable roads we encountered. They will always have fond memories in my mind.
