CH Army Skeleton

The Swiss Army Skeleton vehicles were built in 1970 for the driver's training, about 20 were made. They are basically Series 2 Army Haflingers, but without a real body.

A very simple frame was put on the chassis to hold all the accessories in position. The training vehicle is fully driveable, however the behaviour is very bad due to the missing weight of the platform.

It seems the CH Army Skeleton Haflingers were usually stored away and only driven inside the barracks, which means they all have a very low mileage. It is said that one or the other of these Haflingers were rebuilt to normal Haflingers after they were sold by the army.

Note the typical engine that was used on Swiss Army Series 2 vehicles: 24 HP, Suppressed ignition system, no oil cooler vent, Weber carburettor.

Typischer Motor des Serie 2 Armeehaflingers: 24 PS, geschirmte Zündanlage, kein Kühlluftausgang beim Ölkühler, Weber Vergaser.
